    Dynolicious

While browsing the TopGear site I found this application for an iPhone or iPod Touch.. It's more to do with cars than it is to do with phones.. thats why I've put it in this section..

it's called Dynolicious, what it does is this...

    0-60 MPH
Other Speed Tests (0-10 MPH through 0-100 MPH in 10MPH increments)
    Quarter Mile Elapsed Time
    Quarter Mile Trap Speed
Elapsed Time and Trap Speed for standard intervals (60', 330', 1/8 Mi, 1000')
    Lateral G's (current and peak)
    Braking G's (current and peak)
    Wheel Horsepower
    Estimated Engine Horsepower

Unlike other accelerometer-based performance meters, Dynolicious uses the advanced data-handling and display capabilities of the iPhone to make the most of your performance testing. Dynolicious maintains a history of test runs, showing you averages and trends in your results. Dynolicious also allows you to enter modifications performed to your vehicle, and will instantly show before-and-after results to easily identify gains or losses.

sounds like something that could be useful.. although it is $13.. not sure about UK site yet..

Why limit it to Jesus phones, what's wrong with other phones that have accelerometers

I've seen this yeah - there's also one for Symbian phones if memory serves but I don't think it was quite as in depth as this one. Probably because the accelerometers in the iPhone are a darn site better.

Should be possible to write a really good one for the new HTC handsets too then. There is a marble maze game that comes with them to show it off.
