haha I love how you take out little points of mine and magnify them.
It was the act of what they do with the music not the music itself that is chavy. Anyways, getting no-where with the topic of lowering (got flamed for the car I drive) and also with the statements about chav's so there isn't much point in carrying on chatting about this .
hold up.. have you got a Vectra C then?
Proper chassis on that car.... I thought, very very wrongly, that you had an B.
Now, I change my tune. If you can get a set of springs from a quicker model, you WILL see a handling improvement.
But do NOT get any that are very very hard. That car has a very wayward tail if it's too hard.

I'll never flame anyone for their choice of car. I have a soft spot for various metal - some of which is madness for a 21 year old - Ovlovs for example. It was meant to be a soft warning away from the halfords/heinz 'adaptations' that seem to have become synonymous with modification.
talking of lowering the car, i set off today and watched part of my rear right spring bounce down the road
i already changed the mounts thank god, £170 for 2 genuine springs from the main stealer, and you cant buy them at any car shop
im trying to find out what aftermarket "lowering" springs are the same ride height as the factory spec motorsport kit thats fitted as i dont want it any lower than it is.
bloody bmw's
well im now dropping the car by 10mm on the front
the closest match i could find to the original bilstein are 40mm front drop and 25mm rear, according to bilstein the sport kit the car came out the factory with drops 30/25mm from standard, should look fine with another 10mm off the nose and its cost £118 for koni's all round instead of £50 more for a pair of rears
bit of a bummer i have to shell out another £60 to get it tracked

you look at some cars and they look kak when there dropped a lot, i am doing it for the handling, but ride quality still has to come into it.
i guess i didnt explain myself very well zak, i brought the car for 2 reasons, 1 its a 328 and 2 it had the full factory bilstein sports kit on it with the m3 staggerd wheels giving almost the same road control of an M3 with the upgraded anti roll bars. steering turn limits in place and bump stops. i didnt want to go to full race kit as its a road car and never tracked so i would rather keep my fillings in place and source something with the same drop as the factory kit without paying the price. i love the way the car handles as it is, BMW chose that sports kit because it works, but im not paying there prices for parts as no other shop stocks "motorsport springs" only shocks due to the fact theres about 12 options for the 3 series of my age when it comes to springs. i couldnt find the springs anywhere online so i ended up finding the closest match, but that drops the front another 10mm
i dont think the extra 10mm is going to make it stupidly stiff on the front, but there is a fair gap even with the motorsport kit on the front.
