    Ford Focus ST170...

    ...Is well nice



    My m8s mum has just got one, and because they went away on holiday, he has been abusing the power of it!! Such a nice car, really grips the road and flies even with 5 people in it.

    i've seen a couple of these in the flesh, and although i'm not a great fan of the blue oval these are actually quite nice.... for a Ford...

    I much prefer the 3 door Focus to the 5 door, and the extra arches and deeper bumpers give it a much more macho look... would look better in Black, with tinted windows throw some bigger chrome alloys on and they actually look half decent!!

    Hehe for me the ST170 has become a bit boaring now the RS is out.

    Still put 170bhp in my car (2.0 focus couple of little tweaks prolly around 140BHP) and im sure it would be alot faster, so its still a nice car the ST170.

    I saw one too the other day. Nice to see Ford doing the Focus justice.,,,,,,,good chassis, but not always the best of engines to go with them

    Well we all know that the Zetec/Duratec is no VTEC, but still, 170bhp from a normally aspirated 2.0 aint bad. (i.e my engine tuned up, hmmm i wonder how much it would cost to do that. )

    Handling on the ST170 is nothing like it should be though, its just a stiffened up and slightly lowered 2.0 which means it doesnt corner all that much better, and it suffers from a helluva more uncomfy ride.

    How much are they now? 15k odd?

    Not that i dont like the ST170, dont get me wrong. I think alot of peeps were expecting alot more from fords Sporty Focus. Seen how many are on the 2nd hand market now? I think now the RS is out lots of peeps have dumped their ST170s.

    ...and as an afterthought, did anyone see the supercharged 1.8 Focus from Power Engineering in Car and Car Conversions (august issuse i think), 208BHP with a 50BHP nitrous kit as well...
