Potholes = Traffic Calming. Who elected these numpties?

However, that sentiment is not echoed by one parish council in Essex who believe that potholes act as “natural traffic calming” and actually improve road safety. Councilllors in Navestock believe repairing the holes is too costly and will only allow motorists to drive faster.

So I take it they want the bill for the Michelin Pilot Sport or Goodyear Eagle F1 tyre I buy to help me avoid the numpties on the roads, and possibly a wheel to go with it, when they can've be bothered to maintain the roads?

And I guess they'd like to explain to the biker's family why Mummy/Daddy isn't coming home this evening because a pot hole kicked them into the path of an arctic?

This was on the news a couple of weeks ago, the county council, the ones that actually look after the roads dismissed the parish councils opinions as, basically, silly.

The roads will be repaired.

On a more serious note, what a stupid comment for a council to make, pot holes cause damage to cars and make the roads more dangerous.
