The dead give away is to go to www.gm.com and look for links to Daimler Chrysler brands, you won't find any

And the caddy in question uses a range of parts from the GM parts bin, Vette suspention, and either some form of 350V8 or the northstar.

I have to say that I think that's one of the ugliest, most graceless pieces of machinery that it's ever been my misfortune to witness. It looks like a 5 yr old's drawing of a Merc, and the interior is horribly tacky. Someone really should tell them that chucking in a couple of bits of planed and sanded 4x2 doesn't necessarily scream "class" unless they look as though they were actually designed to be part of the decor, and even then not necessarily. The seats look as though they've only recently been removed from their swivels at Office World, and those headlights just make it look as though someone's dropped something heavy, like, oh I don't know, a proper car in the middle of the bonnet and squashed it a bit. Ugh.
