how much does full respray cost to fix the car? since no panels are dented and broken windows i assume all that car needs is a new paint job?

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a couple of grand.

Because of the paint stripper used as well, you'd need to take them back to either base coat or bare metal in places, make cure they were clean and chemical free, then paint up again. Because everything is damaged, you wouldn't need to colour match, but you'd need to replace all the plastic parts as they are hard to strip and re-spray.

I'm guessing it would be an insurance write off.

Am I the only one who thinks he shouldn't have parked across the garages anyway and he deserved it for parking like a nonce?

Yeah because it's always better to take the law into our own hands Police can and will remove cars that obstruct access to your property, at the cost of the car owner.

Re: however bad your morning was....

There's an Audi in a state a bit like that a couple of roads away from me, has this cement-like paint stripper smeared over the roof, bonnet, doors - all over it, front and back windscreens both smashed through. You have to wonder what (presumably) the owner did in the first place to drive somebody else to do that kind of damage.

Re: however bad your morning was....

I'm afraid that there's people out there that don't need an excuse to do that sort of thing as they get 'fun' out of destroying the property that other people have worked hard for (and at those times taking the law into your own hands can be mighty tempting as you just know the law either won't do a damned thing or if they do it'll be a slap on the wrists).

A friend of mines Celica GT4, just had a full respray.

It was stripped right down to bare metal and down from the ground up.

It was just over £3k to have it all done.
