    New Car Stereo

    Hey folks,

I'm snooping around for a new car stereo, currently we have the default one, it's for a Vauxhall Crosa C.

Originally I didn't want to spend much, but I've almost fallen in love with this:

    Pioneer DEH-P7100BT

Purely for looks and features (plus it is a Pioneer) but that's stretching the budget quite a bit!

I was pursuing this at first:

    http://www.sony.co.uk/product/ica-bl...reo/mex-bt2700

So, I'm looking for advice, someone to show me the light please!

£160 would be my budget, but dependant on what people say about the Pioneer I may be tempted (it's a sin)!!!

    Thank's in advane.

i've got the sony bt2600, put it in a couple months back myself for £140 including the optional ipod control box. must say i'm very happy with it (although the ipod control box is crap, use the front aux connector instead). but that pioneer does look very nice

    Re: New Car Stereo

I've got a Pioneer P3100 and its pretty good. Sounds excellent, looks pretty and interfaces with my IPhone brilliantly. I'd imagine that headunit could only be better.

Overall though I prefer my old Alpine 9880r, simply because of the better interface, the pioneer really is a bit fiddly to use on the move.

I had an old sony in a ford focus around 3 years ago, it sounded awful despite some respectable speakers alongside it. Because of this I couldn't recommend a Sony, however they probably have moved on alot.

If i was you I'd be looking for something like this if you need the BT: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpine-cde-103bt.html
