Off to Millbrook today for New Astra Launch.
If its half as good as the press says and if it gains as much over the last one as the Vectra gained over the last shower of cack....then its gonna be a top top car.
Hope it doesn't die on me

Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
It doesn't look half as nice as the new Audi A3

The only thing to say is.....Golf seats STILL go lowest........they get you on thew GROUND.....Meganes DO corner......307's DO suck (Im sad about that....I love Peugeot...but its not happening).....and Astras really might be world beaters.
SO far....well impressed

The Spanish seem to think that the best way of building a motorway bridge over a massive ravine is to have a corner just before the bridge, with a big bump just as the bridge starts to unsettle the car. Attempt it at any sort of decent speed in a 307 and you'll have a sphincter tightening moment as you wobble towards a 200m drop. Hopefully I'll get a Focus or Leon this year....or a new Astra of course.Originally Posted by Zak33

It feels, Rave, like a high top car...like an MPV that never made it to the right height....but that is not a hatch either.
Its VERY comfy...but oh...where has the fun gone
Reminds me of a 306 Sedan.....(the saloon booted version of a 306)..god knows WHY that was so poor when its sister was such a sex kitten

Still, if it's only the 307 that can't keep itself going where it's pointed then I guess that tallness isn't the problem per se, just bad design.
