I'd forgotten about this thread It's a standard 1.8, no turbo, although I'd like to find out how much financial damage it'd be to get one. Having run it for a few weeks now I love it. Finally got the seat set up properly so I'm not staring at the rear view mirror all the time Plenty of space in the engine for poking around, unlike my Dad's 307!

Gave it a thorough wash and wax today and it looks very tidy. I know it's basically a rebadged and tarted up Rover, but hey, I'm closer to middle-age than childhood, but not at mid-life crisis sports car yet

Should have said it's 54 plate, about 50k miles. I got it from the same guy who sold me the Escort. Straight up bloke, works with a great mechanic, both with pretty competitive prices in my area. Shifts loads of cars of this type and price.

I spent 3yrs borrowing a 75 for longer journeys and cross-country romps and still reckon they're undervalued.
When it comes to relaxed crusing it was fabulous and it didn't shirk when pointed at a corner either.

Your ZT looks stunning - far more arresting than a 1.8 Mondeo/Vectra/Laguna for sure!

I really hope the build quality doesn't cause you issues because it's a car that deserves to last.
