Cos it has come tomy attention that one of the highest ranking quality Marques of Europe might be falling into bad ways.

BMW....I think they've gone a bit.....well.....err......Chav/Barry Boy!


So....how can you help?

Well, next time you are following a recent 3 Series....check out the REAR PIPES. And look closely.

Because I have noticed, not once, not twice , but THREE TIMES that the TWIN PIPE is a false one!

One pipe does connect, and the other is simply welded/riveted/bonded to the side of it and does NOTHING!

I have waited because I thought maybe it was the drivers doing it, but Ive just seen a 328 driven by an old dear and IT HAD A FAKE PIPE!

Its not like they need it. Its right next to the working one......but you can see light through it and it has no soot in it.

Its fake.

ANd it fits the bumper..its not off set...it fits.

So I think BMW might need a bit of minor "looking dow the nose" soon from us

Please...keep your eyes open, and a digi camera pick would be ace!

How recent are you talking Zak? Cos I thought the 3 series did have twin pipes as standard?

I shall keep an eye out. It used to be that you could always spot the cheapskates who'd gone for badge deletion on a 518 or 520 by the single, drinking straw exhaust.

Funniest i saw was on a cold morning and some bloke with quad exhausts. Although there was only steam coming out of 2 of them

Probably yes. Otherwise they'd not put the dummy ones on coz of weight.

possably the twinpipes are because bimmer cba to cut 2 different sized holes in the bumpers??

Had a look at a 320 and a 328 this morning. Both pipes looked genuine:?
