I have car insurance via Natwest (underwritten by UK Insurance LTD) I moved off a company insurance policy where I had a company vehicle for social domestic commuting etc and was the only driver of the car.
To get the no claims from that time (5 years) I had have a letter sent from my previous employers to Natwest stating that I had had no accidents, the number plate of the car etc etc on headed paper. This was all sent to Natwest. My insurance papers come through as expected etc and all seems ok. I call Natwest to make sure my no claims has gone through and they say yes all is ok (I call another 3 times to average out the answers, as every one should do with modern call centers) each time thy say its all ok no claims has been agreed etc.
a few days later I received a letter from UKI to say that they can't find the policy that my previous company had used. I called Natwest who told me that I didn't need to do anything as it was all ok, I have requested written conformation of this but I am still wondering.... who do i deal with here? I am a customer of Natwest and Natwest are a customer of UKI, I always thought that they should go via natwest and not directly to me. Should I listen to Natwest or UKI?
