Much, much nicer - and much nicer than the Focus hire car that I had while I was waiting for the Mazda to arrive.
Im sure that will be music to Masda's ears. I think the 3 is based on a Focus' chassis but with a fair amount of tweaking. Sounds like they did a good job! Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! It feels much more poised - the centre of gravity feels lower and it's much less "roll-y" when going round roundabouts etc. The Focus wasn't bad, as such - although I HATED the diesel engine - but the 3 is just so much nicer to drive.

We have an old shaped 3 in the sport trim and with the 2l engine. At the time we looked simarly priced foci and the 3 just blew them out of the water. Better spec, better drive and you couldn't get a 2l engine for love or money!
