It's been a while 2 years in fact since this was last updated.
The sad news is the awful kit and shocking paintwork still remain as the funds that were going to be used to sort that out were needed elsewhere!
Last year a rear roll cage was fitted along with both driver and passenger bucket seats, and 4 point harnesses. Nardi steering wheel + removable boss fitted to make it a little easier getting in!
Since then the list of items replaced is rather large. Still not as large as the list left to replace!
Replacement engine
Head rebuild
Cambelt replacement
Uprating Metal HG
Fitting HKS 264 in & out cams
Replacing fuel pump, and redoing the relay
Fitting bigger injectors
Sorting out the rev counter
Fitting the HKS ECU + mapping!
Replacing intercooler core, and redoing pipework
Fabricating new exhaust
Fabricating custom downpipe and crossover
Removing and straightening out the sump
Tracking down and fitting a custom sized ARB to clear the sump!
Replacing driveshafts
Repairing alternator wiring
Replacing coilpacks
Colder grade plugs
Redoing ECU harness wiring
Replacing various bolts and other bits and pieces.
Oh and lots of dyno time!
During mapping and various road tests it chewed its way through £150 of V-Power, so I'll still be giving the rotaries a run for their money.
It's been mapped v conservatively as the manifold is blowing slightly, and needs replacing as it was designed for the original twin turbo setup. So running stupid boost wasn't really the answer.
360bhp & 380 ft lb at 1.1 bar. So not too shabby, but plenty to go on a decent manifold.
