Re: Home speakers for car?
As long as the wattage isn't to high, just get an inverter like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cigarette-Li.../dp/B000ORSGI2
and bolt the system down somewhere.
edit: sorry, didn't realise you were just talking speakers :p As below, just make sure the resistance is okay and wire them up.
Re: Home speakers for car?
easy done so long as the amp can run them, ohm ratings need to match :)

They don't need to match, but home speakers are typically 8 ohm whereas car speakers are usually 4 ohm. So using home speakers you'll usually get less power out of the amp.
Re: Home speakers for car?
well the wire from the amp to the speakers is a 4 spread +Bass -Bass and +treble -treble so i don't know how id wire them to the amp.
Re: Home speakers for car?
I'd be sceptical about how good they'd sound anyway. Car acoustics are very different to room acoustics.
Re: Home speakers for car?
Well the hole idea is to get the ones in the front running with the two from my room in the boot.
