    Absolute freak accident.

Really amazing escape for all, even the driver was unhurt.
Stood just up from there at the BTCC, despite this one off i do hope they don't go H&S mad and put up catchment fencing in these areas on the inside of the corners that havn't yet got it.

    Re: Lucky, lucky, lucky marshals......

    Wow.. lucky.

You could see one of the marshals tapping and then hanging onto the barrier, trying to decide if he needed to leg it or not - good thing he did!

Blimey, they were lucky. I bet there were some brown trouser moments there.

Still, as already said, lets hope that the health and safety brigade don't jump on this.

We were there that day. That was the 2nd big prang. The Seat class is truly bonkers, in 2.5 laps they had managed to destroy 3 cars and two sections of the circuit to the point where racing had to be stopped.
Unfortunately I was near Druids so missed all the excitement.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

Kudos for the Marshals turning straight round to help.

Watch the BTCC its great fun, and if you go to the races some of the support races are excelent, 14-16 yearolds in Clios going wheel to wheel great stuff

Given that he minimum age for the Clio Cup is 16 and there are plenty of experienced drivers in there too, I guess you mean the Ginetta Juniors, which are for 14-17 year olds?

The Ginetta Juniors are truly fantastic though. The number of position changes per laps are insane. It's just a shame more youngsters can't afford to take part.

And two years ago when they were part of the support racing for BTCC another Seat Leon had a rather big prang into Paddock Hill bend. I will never, ever take a Seat round Brands, ever.

Few of the Youtube comments, LOL

Nobody should laugh about this, it was extremely serious. The driver was bruised and 5 marshalls **** themselves! If it hadn't have been for those tight fitting orange boiler suits, it could've been very messy indeed.
