    Looking for a 125cc bike

Im wondering if anyone can recommend some bikes that would interest me because im after a 125 (sick of that 50cc crap).
Im looking for a 4 stroke, which can do plenty of miles to the gallon and may be available quite cheap (i am a student). I would also like it to look quite decent unlike a CG (although that is one im looking into).

    Any suggestions?

Hrm, decent looking four stroke 125s didn't really start appearing until recently, if you wanted something stylish 5yrs ago it pretty much had to be a two stroke. I believe Honda have been selling a four stroke trail bike for a while now, you could see if one of those is in your price range- (I'm assuming you want to buy secondhand?). Apart from that the Suzuki GS125 looks a bit more stylish than a CG125 but it's still pretty much a commuter looking bike. You could also consider the Honda CB125T which looks a bit more meaty than your average 125 as it has a twin cylinder engine.

If you're buying new there's plenty of choice, although the new Honda CBR125 (or XLR(?)125 if you want a traily) are nice (but very small, you'll look a bit silly if you're 5'10"+ ).

Shad, the Cagiva is a two stroke.

The only reason i said 4 stroke is everyone i know with a 2 stroke has blown it up, and they get crap mileage. But that may just be me.
Ive seen a Yamaha SR 125 and a Yamaha TW125 which are nice.

Whatever you do DO NOT touch Baimo.

Do not even look at the things.

Something reliable - go for a CG, does up to about 70 get one for about £1000 (Charlotte has and hasn't looked back )

I rode an SR125 once, I didn't like the riding position, I chose a CG125 to do my training and test on. Plus I think trying to style a little 125 up as a custom is a bit sad. Suzuki do a similar model, the GN125.

The TW125 is probably a good laugh, looks a bit stupid though.

How old are you- have you passed your test yet?
