To dry off all the water as quickly as possible....
I now have frozen diluted shampoo on my car, and couldn't wax the bumpers and roof as it had gotten too dark

Well the front of my car was literally covered in the spray from when they have been gritting the roads and it could use a good clean for when I put the photos up on the show us yer motor thread
I also appear to have lost a bit of the front bumper next to one of my fog lamps.... probably down to all the potholes on the road
Well the driver side one is pretty loose so I'm going to leave it for now and have a shifty round the scrapyards/breakers yard as I also need to get a rear ashtray replacement as my gf's sister sheared off the pins when she was in the middle seat drunk on Christmas Eve
Can't seem to figure out what the name of the part is though
Only fairly minor things though at the end of the day, more interested in getting a Haynes manual tomorrow and finding out how to wire up the cigarette lighter socket so I can get my iPod kit installed
My car is 'orrible at the minute. Filthy inside & out and its gutting to see it. I cannot wait for the summer to arrive when I can get her looking her fine ass self again!
It's OK. My car's anual wash is in May.
I am waiting until near end of February or March to take my car to the wash because it would be pointless if it started snowing again and it get car dirty then you would need give it wash again.
By your theory then you should never wash your car.... ever.
Leaving the salt on from the grit to me seems a silly thing to do, there are already little flecks of rust on the car (thankfully very little compared to my last one) and I sure don't want to see any more start to appear on the car, and it's nice to drive around in a clean car and have some pride.
I also have a feeling if it snows again I'll know first
I'll try to remember to get some photos tomorrow morning if it's light before I head off to work so you can see her in all her glory with a missing tooth
I'm not saying you should never wash the car lol,all i am saying just by personal normal emotion you would get without thinking straight, you would feel like, after all the effort in getting it cleaned it gets dirty again by the snow.
I wasn't saying i/you should never wash the car, don't get me wrong i would love to drive around in pride to in a clean car but with this weather, well in my perspective i feel like "uh..damn weather" and don't feel like going in the cold to clean the car when it could snow again and ruin your effort in cleaning it.
Snow doesn't make your car dirty.......
It's the crap that gets kicked up by the wheels from vehicles when the road is gritted and/or dirty, same stuff that has a habit of making rust worse
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SnowSnow is a type of precipitation within the Earth's atmosphere in the form of crystalline water ice, consisting of a multitude of snowflakes that fall from clouds. Since snow is composed of small ice particles, it is a granular material. It has an open and therefore soft structure, unless packed by external pressure. Snowflakes come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Types which fall in the form of a ball due to melting and refreezing, rather than a flake, are known as graupel, with ice pellets and snow grains as examples of graupel. Snowfall amount and its related liquid equivalent precipitation amount are determined using a variety of different rain gauges.
