mobility scooters have 12V wiring, and a kind of alternator thing. might try one when i get round to modding my project (once ive scrounged enough spare bits and figured out whether itll actually work on one)

....though I see they now do a "v12" version....based on a Ferrari 512 BB. The BB stands for Berlinetta Boxer, and it's a flat-12, the predecessor of the Testarossa (and 512TR/ 512M).

Now in fairness, that engine is a V12- a 180 degree V12. And it still sounds nothing like as good as the V8.

Apparently there's also a W16 version. Meh.....
