Hard to tell, not a great pic, but those arches look like a 935 to me.
Does look quite a lot like one, found this photo from a similar angle.
959?
Hmm, I thought it was an early 911
Jon
Yep it's a 935 - very distinctive as it looks like a 911 stuffed inside an insane bodykit.
Unintentional trick question

If so, they've done it to replicate a 935

As for the car in question, I don't think it's a 935 I think it's an an early eighties RUF BTR in 935 style drag, something's not right, I know, I had the matchbox cars The Rothmans Porsche is a replica, I remember it being on a few different blogs when it went on eBay so I wouldn't be shocked if the RUF isn't all it appears to be either....
Ruf are to Porsche more like what Alpina are to BMW- cars based on the shells and engines of the big manufacturer, but actually unique models in their own right. If you buy an Alpina it'll appear on your V5 registration document as (say) an Alpina B3, rather than a BMW Alpina B3 (I'm pretty sure, anyway!).
This particular Ruf seems to be based on a 930 Flatnose- often referred to as the 935, but incorrectly as far as I can tell- with a rear end based on (or taken from?) a 935 race car.
Obviously the flat nose of the 930 Flatnose is based on the 935 race car, but that doesn't make it a 935.
Nah, I still don't think so, it's not wide enough and the arches aren't right for a 935. It's a replica of something that was a custom job to begin with imo. What probably began as one of these -
Or, considering their rarity more likely a stock 930 slant nose as Rave suggested. Has been turned into carbon copy of this car -
Built for a rather wealthy investor in Porsches racing efforts at the time it's a 930 chassis with some custom bits in a 935 shaped romper suit. Either whoever built it copied that or it's the original and the new owner's slapped an RUF badge on the back just to really confuse people. You'll notice if you go through the guys gallery this mystery car still sports a Porsche badge on the front, something RUF never do, even as far back as the Yellow Bird they badged cars as their own.
