    Purpose built rally machines, but you had to have 200 road going versions.

    And if you must know, the RS200 was based around a cut down sierra.

    Indeed... And a very good page - shows why certain road cars of the era were so popular (Pug 205, Renault 5) and why some cars are still a bit legendary today (Lancia Delta, Audi Quattro, Metro 6R4)
