You know you're getting old when..

..you get the best quote from

    Esure..

£95 cheaper than my Elephant.co.uk renewal!

Why do insurance companies blow it on their 2nd year !?

They seem to be under the strange impression that you cant be arsed to phone around again. Normally if you go back to the original insurer they will drop the quote. My fav is when you dont get a reminder untill a few days before it runs out.

I'm being facetious I know, but since I've never made a claim my insurance companies have always made a 100% profit out of me whether it was the first year or not.

I saved about £70 this year by refusing my Elephant renewal, then two days later going on their site and getting a new quote. When I phoned Esure last year I was told (politely) that they were 'looking for people to be 30 with at least 5 years NCB for that model of car'. Fair enough. Some other company can make a straight profit of £500 for doing sod all then.
