    my focus is (was) a zetec, which is the top of the line of the standard models (i.e. pre-st170).

    i'm not sure if i'll have the new engine by the time the track day comes around, but we shall see

    horse - if you haven't been keeping up, that means 300bhp 2.1 turbo with a totally new custom designed ecu, with various toys to control the power...

    How much power does the MX5 have?.

    I doubt i'd win because i'd still be learning my car for the next few months at least.

    But if i was still driving my 1.4i astra you'd all be eating my dust

    lols - i just spent £260 on tyres, so i think i'll be alright - it's my clutch i'm worried about!

    goodyear eagle f1's, preferably gsd3's, i have gsd2's. got mine in 195/55 15, apparently both my size and your size come as stock from the factory. try www.topgear.co.uk

    so it's still a zetec then? and what's that got to do with an ST170? (170PS against 120PS) hmm...

    yeah, with a 2.1 you stand more of a chance
