My car has an awesome design choice - handbrake is applied by pressing the pedal which is where the clutch would be on a manual.
Foot on brake, button + firm pull, release brake and relax! I don't like the noise of the handbrake either so I use the button.
just pull it all the way up. safety is way more important
reverse gently into bumper of car behind, hope like hell you get back to car before other driver does
Approach corner on loose gravel, turn steering wheel, pull handbrake, grin
I push the button in.
Only on the tighter turns.
no Hex.. that's not an awesome design choice.. it's just wrong.... but not for you it seems
Handbrakes.... the clue is in the title.....
your parking brake is wrong on nearly every level of wrong....
however..I'm happy that you're happy. For me it's just like someone uplugged 10% of the characteristics of ... Direct X or OpenGL... you're missing a ky ingredient to driving,

I also always leave the car in gear, either 1st or reverse, usually 1st. I only turn the wheels into the curb if I'm on a steep hill, doesn't happen much in Norfolk.
To those who enjoy handbrake turns. Don't buy a citroen with their hydraulic system. The handbrake acts on the front! I drove an auto Citroen which had the "handbrake" operated by a pedal where the clutch should have been and a lever on the dash that locked it.
How do I apply it ? automatically on the Jag
my Virtualisation Blog http://jfvi.co.uk Virtualisation Podcast http://vsoup.net
