    Would this Irritate you?

Vauxhall Tigra is on the Website... www.vauxhall.co.uk

On that Website we have an "oraganise a test drive" button. The team behind it have a 3 day turn around, and the nearest dealer to that area gets a fax asking to sort it.

I have today and yesterday recieved 3 Tigra Test Drive Requests. For a car that we are not allowed to Test Drive because Vauxhall Motors has told us not to use the car that is being moved around each district.

    So you vote.

You have requested a Test Drive on the Manufacturers own Web Site.
3 days later you get a phone call from a Sales Manger who says "Hi it's XYZ Dealer here..thanks for the request. We have a car travelling around the home counties this month, that you can go and see at ABC dealer on Mon/Tues and FGH Dealer on Wed/Thurs, but you cant drive it until its launch in October.

Damn right it would, and being picky like i am, i don't expect to be offered something as a customer unless its ready, Same with computer games, if games crash etc when they are released i'll take them back and say not fit for use... Having to wait 2 months for a test drive if i'm being offered one on a web site is lunacy (unless they state on the web site expected waiting time of 2 months)

quite... it would annoy the arse off of any right-thinking motorist tbh... although.. there's gotta be something wrong if you order a test drive on a Tigra convertible....

It wouldn't seriously annoy me. It's not like people have been given a definite time and date and will have booked time off work, got a babysitter in etc. It's not uber-professional of Vauxhall but I can think of hundreds of other everyday occurences like parcels being delivered late, gasman not coming when promised etc etc that are far far more frustrating. TBH anyone getting irate over it needs to cut back on the cholestorol.

I can see why you're irritated Zak, there's a car that people are interested in buying, and you can't let them drive it. From the customer's point of view it's not so bad, although it's still not exactly clever of vauxhall to invite people to book a test drive and then tell them they can't have one.

If they cant delivered then it shouldnt be offered on the website. Vauxhall are making themselves look bad by doing this.
