iHawk App: monitor your car's CAN bus from your iPhone

    http://www.superchips.com/Store/iHawk.aspx

Saw this a few weeks ago on a tweaked VW online, with fiull boost pressure monitoring on the blokes Andriod.. and I just stumbled on it again.

I always think of iHawk as server monitoring software for your phone.. but here we are.. CAR APPS

From just a quick glance at your post this seems very similar to the Torque android app which has been out for ages and is very good. The only difference is that that iHawk is waaaaaaay more expensive and oddly only seems available for iPhone not android.

I'm a big fan of Torque and have been using it for a while.
Bought it for £2.95 and a cheapo bluetooth adapter from ebay for £5, lots of geeky car information for a very small outlay.

This makes me wish I still had my Golf

I'll certainly keep it in mind if we ever get newer car with CANBus though

Another thumbs up for Torque. Had it for quite a while, combined with a cheap bluetooth OBD2 reader gives you everything you could ever need. Also reads fault codes, and gives you the ability to clear them. Fantastic app. Very customisable.

I bought an OBD2 dongle for our Auris recently to play with Torque, it's quite interesting to see all the various readouts. Nice to know I can sort out fault codes without coughing up the king's ransom Toyota charge for just plugging the tool in.

Cheers, been meaning to order one of the BT doofers and give this a go, couldn't find one for a fiver but £7.25 delivered off ebay seems reasonable enough.

Honda are a bit of a pain, they still use custom codes for some stuff - I have a USB OBDII Adapterand I gave up when using with my civic 2.2 ictdi (same shape as yours, albeit a five door). Handheld one didn't like it either sadly.
