    Are you effected by Function?

I have just found this list of cars!
    http://www.uglycars.co.uk/uglylist.asp

and because I found several favourites on there, it occured that maybe my view is effected by Functionality.

For example....the Daihatsu Move .....I have always liked it. I would certainly not put anyone off owning it. But fundementally it is butt ugly and yet I dont see it as ugly. I like it. As I like the Agila.

Now the Talbot Tagora I agree with but thats cos other cars did a better job AND looked better.

SO I am effected by function in my beliefs of beauty. LandRovers.....I think old Series 1 is a good looker.....but thats because it was the finest of its kind!

Dad had one of these for a company car years ago (think it was a brand new F plate). Now back then you kept a company car for 3 years or 60,000 miles which ever came up first. In my dad's case, 60,000 was normally about 2 years.

He raved about it. Comfiest car ever, superb suspension and just ate through miles like nothing. He loved the car that much he'd deliberately make the mileage forms tricky to read, and ended up keeping it until it 180,000 miles on the clock! He then had a minor bump and the mileage was then discovered. He ended up with a mk3 astra for 6 months then opted for early retirement.

What did he buy? Well, Mum wouldn't let him buy a BX, so they first opted for an AX. Ran than for 5 years, and then got a Belingo.

front wheel arches on that BX give its designer away.

Labourghini anyone? Go look at a Countach or Jalpa and you'll see the same brain behind it...

pretty arches....but ugly car. BUT good for the job again

nope i aint affected by function at all

i'm sure a smart car is great to drive and is fuel effecient etc but i wouldnt be seen dead on one of them...same goes for all those little thin cars like the Matiz or the move... they are just..wrong

I cant stand the new renaults with the phat ass either - even tho i have driven one of them and it was fine to drive, i could never live with the embarrasment of owning one
