    With my soft top is generally down if its not raining, sometimes its down when it is! As long as I stay above 40MPH I stay dry . It helps that the MG has a nuclear furnace for a heater that starts blowing out hot air within a couple of minutes. Some of my best drives have been on a cold crisp winters morning with the sun shining, its glorious.

    I'm talking about it as a second car, I wouldn't be getting rid of my Type R!

    Amazing the number of people who say that, and they are usually people who haven't owned a soft top. Really it isn't that bad.
    Often also the people who have never owned an Italian car and think they break down all the time. When I had an open top Italian car I got a lot of tripe from blokes, lots of smiles from girls though .
