    Whoopeeee

    She's pranged the Lupo

Wasn't her fault by the look of it, she's trying to pull onto a busy but very slow moving main road, the pedestrian crossing to her right turns red and the traffic stops, she checks left and a woman flashes to let her out, so she pulls out.

The lights change to her right and a Golf (yeah - a Golf ) decides he has no intention of allowing her to pull out and makes a dash for it on the wrong side of the road and tries to squeeze through the closing gap ... ...unsuccesfully

    Those pesky golf drivers!

They are due for a spanking! Get her to arrange some.

Sorry about the prang though, it is a bit of a strange one...

P.S. Like the way you drew indicator lights and everything

She's damaged her bumper and wing, he's going to need a new door, offside rear wing and alloy. He came off worse.

Yeah the indicator lights are cool eh

    Bloody Golf drivers

I'll add them to my black book now....

He apparently said ' I didn't see you' as soon as he got out of the car, when I arrived on the scene 5 minutes later he was very sheepish and not saying much at all.

I don't reckon he will admit tbh, no witnesses (no one stopped) his word against ours, and he could claim she pulled out onto the main road and T-boned him if he wanted to :/

Its going to be £310 including excess according to insurance anyways

If he admits fault that would invalidate his insurance, won't it? So he'll have to claim it was an accident.

Nope. I could go out tomorrow and crash my car through the gates of the houses of parliament at 100mph, dressed like Julie Andrews in the sound of music, and my insurance would still have to pay out for the damage I caused. I think they can only refuse to pay out if you were drunk.

Skii, I'd have been tempted to call the police in all honesty if he obviously was on the wrong side of the road. They'd have seen from the damage to his car (or lack of) that she couldn't have hit him hard enough to ram him all the way over there. I'm surprised there were no witnesses though, didn't the woman who flashed to let her out stop?

Sad thing is it will probably go against her as it was his right of way, even though she was flashed out etc.

    Least everyone was OK!

Well, if he chose to drive around her rather than stop, he could clearly see that she was moving and attempting to pull out. It's not as if she randomly pulled out in front of him, he could clearly see what she was doing. I live on a road that's just off the South Circular, which is a busy A-Road, and I occasionally have to pull out into the road and hold up traffic on one side if I'm turning right. The cars coming up the road towards me don't have a right to drive through me or try and swerve round me, assuming that I've given them plenty of time to stop (which I do obviously).

one last thing....dont bother the Police.

    Ever.

They will consider it a waste of time, you might BOTH get points on ya license, and probably have to do an advanced driving lesson which YOU have to pay for.

Me and the Old Bill aint on good terms this week.

thats another story....and its not car related!

Yeah, but the woman who flashed her was not the one who drove into her....misinterpreting a signal is not the problem here.
