I did like the new format of Top Gear when it first started, and I can see where Clarkson is coming from that people don't want to see cars they see everyday on the commute.

Kind of lost interest in the last series when they did a feature on speed cameras. They did a graph showing the numbers of accidents in locations where speed cameras are installed. The figures were tiny, and apparently this proves that cameras are not installed in accident blackspots. No consideration that maybe they were accident blackspots, but now, thanks to the cameras they're not

Think it would be much more use doing a feature on people driving like fools with foglights on, than taking the mickey out of safety measures. They need to think a bit more about the audience they are appealing to, not just who they want to appeal to.
