P0606 Fault Code [Vectra 2.0 DTi]

Hi Guys, I have a problem with the P0606 fault code. The car were running fine and then all of a sudden the spanner light and battery light came on at the same time. Put diagnostic on it and came up with the above fault code. When i turned the engine off it wouldn't start and when i turned the key it clicks as if its draining all the power and acts like the starter motor is stuck but it isn't?
Any help would be most grateful
    Cheers

Try taking the earth lead off the battery for half an hour.. then back on and and retry.. see if you can re boot the whole system

If not then go to a proper garage and get it read

there are LOADS of codes tied to that engine that home availalbe scanners just wont pick up on at all.

I've tried taking the battery off and still the same. What happened were last week the engine management light came on alone with the battery light (without loss of power.) The auxiliary belt were squealing so i thought I'd change it because i thought it were slipping and not putting power in the battery, thinking it were slipping on the alternator. Anyway when i changed the belt i started it up and the said lights came back on and then all the lights came on when i started to turn the steering wheel?
