don't know if anyone's interested, but there is a single venue rally being held at Rockingham on 12th december, 1st car away is at 10am and should finish at about 17.30. There are some nice bits of kit taking part, car 1 is ex Freddie Loix WRC Hyundi, there are loads of Escort Wrc's, metro 6R4, and for entertainment value escort Mk1/2 's, TR8, Pug 306 maxi kit car ex Delacor, a number of Scooby's, Mitsey's, for those of you not familiar with single venue events here's a brief on what goes on. as the title suggests Single Venue, the event takes place soley at Rockingham, most single venue's Don't allow spectators, so you would normally have to be part of a crew or service team to enter the venue, and even then you would only get to see the service area. Did anyone go this sunday? if so what did you think?

if you did'nt you missed a cracking event, the two stages in the dark were the best, and if you viewed it from the grandstand, you could pretty well see all of the venue, only thing missing was a bit of sun, brass monekys!!!!!

Slingers was one of the head marshal dudes....in charge (god help us all) of lots of junctions and chicanes.

Having seen the stage maps, it looks AWESOME...some of the banked circuit was used AS banked curcuit but SOME was like this...

Cut down to base of banking, flat for 200 metres to tight 90 degree UP BANKING (this is straight UP the banking), to top armco, 90left.....100 metres along angled banking, to 90left, straight DOWN banking, to 90 right at base....

superb idea for a fun bit.
