Two loops around one fork leg, or a sheath, or a rear clamp, or a cross-bar grip, or a shoulder sling, or even just get one of the telescopic/collapsible sticks.
You'd be surprised how many disabled people still ride bikes.
You'd be even more surprised at how I could manage my weekly 80mile round-trip to martial arts class with all my kit, plus a broadsword and a set of cudgels on the bike...!
SAVES money?
You can get a punctured £200 tyre repaired for £10 and use it normally thereafter. You can't repair one that has had tyre gunk used on it and it's still highly advisable to replace the gunked tyre at the earliest opportunity.
So not only do you risk roadside recovery if the damage can't be gunked, but you still have to buy a new tyre afterward anyway.
Saves money for the car maker, which is the important one since they're deciding whether to find space for an extra wheel or toss a can in the glovebox
