My local dealer is actually very very good, though not the cheapest due to the fairly high labour rates. They got within a couple of quid of internet prices for new tyres though which was impressive.

I've got a local 'specialist' I use for everything. He's an ex-senior guy from my local BMW dealer and was recommended for my M3 when I got hacked off with the main dealer's service levels.

Saracen in an M3....... I didn't picture that.......new found level of respect.

I usually find its the scruffy garage with the owners dog in the office that is the least likely to rip you off.
