What bike for 17 year old?

tbh, I just don't get the appeal of race-reps. I am under no delusion that I'm as good as Valentino Rossi (even though I wear the same hairstyle since the local barber closed down ). Something with a bit of comfort along with the fun will do my fine.

I think Ill get one of these for my next bike...

ooohhh.. Fazer 1k.. nice bike... bit to sitty uppy for my liking.. but a nice bike non the less.. good touring potential with the high screen and comfortable position... just to wallowy for my liking... as bikes for me are a weekend toy, I prefer something that gives me 100% feedback through both ends.. When I push hard in a corner, I want to know what is going on and when its gonna happen...
When I test rode a 2004 Fazer6 it was just lacking a certain something in the handling department that both the GSXR and CBR gave...

But it all depends on what your looking for in a bike.. You cant take anything away from the Fazer1k.. its a really really nice machine.. and the engine (a de-tuned version of the R1) is superb! Plenty of torque through the gears and a screamer up to the top end with a decent race can on.... One of the guys I ride with has a 2003 Fazer 1k.. and between him and the 600 Super Sport guys (CBR6, ZX6 and GSXR6) who ride with us, the performance is very very similar...
