Had a letter in the post today from an MCP car pound in London, telling me I owe them loads of money and that they have had my car locked up there for several weeks.
My reply was "Thats odd I drove it in to work today".
People on the other end of the phone seemed OK, there one is red my one is blue. So got to right them a letter tonight, might do a nice photo of the car with today newspaper as well.

Similar thing happened to me a couple of months back - got letter from lewisham council claiming that i owed hundreds in unpaid parking tickets and they were going to take me to court etc etc, right number plate, totally different car!! They were fine about it when i sent them a copy of my v5 though, pretty unbelievable how easy it is to drive on false plates though innit!!

It's nothing to do with you mate. Up to them to prove it's your car I reckon. Just tell them to f-off.
If they take you to court, turn up and then have them for loads of costs.
