Cheers guys.. nice little selection there. I hadn't thought about the Hyandai Coupes.. That's another avenue to look down.

I thought about Preludes, but all the ones I could find were a bit old or imports which will shaft my insurance.

Civic? Tempting, but again they're getting on a bit now and I'm sure Ahmeds hit the limiter once or twice..

Peugeot 406 SRi Turbo. 150bhp as standard but 200bhp isn't difficult. Easy to find for under £2k - another one for the sleeper fans.

The Civic VTi 1.6 - very good. Plenty of mods you can do to them too my mates got one with a blower on running well over 200bhp. Shifts when its not scrabbling scares she bejeesus out of audi TT's and civig type r's

The hiyundi coupes are supposed to be pretty good for the cash.

MX3's sound superb if you chuck a decent xaust on them nice v6 growly purr. Bit hairdressery though.

That prelude is damn cheap, must be something wrong with it?

i'd keep your eyes open for something dented if i were you - this time of year there is a LOT of minor panel damage going on that could write off a car worth 1-2k, but only cost a couple of hun to fix - check out your local scrappy for examples...
