    Back to the drawing board.............

    One 350z + 36k/yr = 25k + silly running costs

    So I've now decided on........

    Micra 1.5 dci + Westfield = £20k

So I use micra all week, which to be fair is just a plod up/down M40/M42 and a balls out TB'd Westfield for weekend hooning.

I can still go to Santa Pod etc with the Westy, and the micra provides me with a modern efficient answer to the daily commute. Ok, it's dog ugly, but with an 82bhp lump, oodles of torque for a little car, it still sees 0-60 in 10.9 iirc. Plus there seem to be a few chips to take it to 100bhp.

Service intervals of 18k are far more suited to the milage I do as well.

And at a price of £7,900 for a 54reg 3000 miler Micra 1.5 dci 82 SX, it seems a good price.

I reckon I should be able to get £9,500 for the 182 and then sell the filters/exhaust/quickshift etc to make it up to 10k.

So thats the plan, shame I couldn't do the 350z, one day..... When I can justify it.

Two car theory is the best

Micra a good choice too; Means the westy can benfit from your current no claims, and the micra will still be pittance to insure.

The tough bit is choosing your westy

Well, it makes more sense because of the micra price.....

I've just looked on autotrader and a 54plate Micra dci 82 SX (one down from top) is going for £10k ish, and I've got one lined up for £7,900 with just 3k miles on the clock.

As for westy's I'm considering a Zetec based variant rather than bike engined. Nice 1.8 or 2.0 Zetec with Throttle Bodies..... mmmmmm.

Yup, he would. But given the Low insurance group of the micra, and given that most insurers will take into consideration your existing now claims bonus (even if its on another policy) I'd say insuring the micra fully comp is hardly going to break the bank.

I don't want sensible motoring!!! (Well not at weekends anyway).

Something like this would be ideal, and less than my maximum spend:

well...they are serious tools..and insurance is dead chep if you join the owners club (which you should) becaue they all know you wont use it everyday, cos its just too damn uncomfortable

Yellow's nice..one of the few cars to suit it
