any of you had messages like this on other forums??

Just thought I would like to share with you all that during my Volvo's last service I replaced 750ml of my usual engine oil with 750ml of Slick 50.....WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! I can't believe it. I'm not exaggerating here but the from the moment I started her up, the engine note quietened considerable before my very own ears!! Of course the tappets and exhaust note where slightly more audible, but the engine revved so much more smoothly - It even felt much more revvier than before...

I think my old oil filter may have been blocked slightly with dirty oil going around my engine, but the difference now is amazing. As soon as I drove off my driveway I could immediately feel more power and willingness in the engine, I had to readjust my driving style to the increase in power I've got now. That same drive I did, I got caught up in two street races (in London) which I won both!! I know some of you are laughing now but my engine's usual power figures are 80bhp (1.7l) , probable with dirty oil in my engine that was probable more like 78bhp, but now I would definitely say it feels like I guess about 86bhp!! Thats a quarter of the way to the 2.0l GTE power level!!! I'm well please!! Thats liquid engineering all right.

I do drive my 340 carefully, but when I did plant my foot to the floor the engine definitely revs up much quicker and pulls me quicker to 60... It even cruises now happily at 95,,,,before Slick 50, it was about 85!! I knew few of you will believe this, but just to finish off since using Slick 50 I have had to reduce my idling speed twice!!! - to compensate for the reduction in friction and engine heat. Even my fan kicks in much less now due to the cooler temp my engine is running. Of course apparently my engine will age no more now since using Slick 50, and I don’t have to reapply it again in 12000 miles unlike Grease Lightening..

Please note, I have always used Slick 50 as my first power mod in all my previous cars and it has always given very good results, but I have got to say that my Volvo 340 loved this stuff the most!! Next power mod, K&N replacement filter..(I don't want the extra noise you get with the K&N induction kits)

P.S. I don't work for Slick 50, I just thought I would like to share my experiences with my fellow Volvo drivers!!
anyone had something like that on thier other motoring forums?? i'm guessing its spam..

Probably sells the stuff. Anyway it's a complete waste of money, the oil companies would have added it to their oil years ago if it actually did any good.

Same goes for fuel catalysts, intake swirl inducers, and loads of other forms of automotive snake oil.....

Oof, better watch out for that beastie now then! 80 bhp at a kerb weight of 1002kg, that's a whopping 79.8bhp/ton. Scary! He must have mistaken a Saxo Forte monthly meet for a street race, lol.

Additives have there place and for an older car that takes a base mineral type oil (sub £10), certain additives will be a viable purchase as older grades of oil (15w/50, 15w/40 etc) just aren't produced to high specifications (full synthetic, ester base etc). But certainly, if you are using top spec grade specific oils then there is no place for additives.

No Sensei, i'm not kicking the mats to waste time, they have parted and I don't want to injure myself!

Slick 50 went into a lot of older gearboxes too....helped a lot of people. But not much in engines really.
But I tell you this...to estimate your horsepower at 86 made me laugh so hard, I've applied for sponsorship from TennaLady, cos I pee'd my pants
