    Another hard days graft! (56k)

Spent the day on Lowe's Megane and my Clio today.

I'm ready for bed now though, lol.

We changed the wheels and aerial over from Lowe's Clio onto the Megane, sorted out the leaky aerial and fixed the remote central locking. Then she had a waxing with some NXT. Looks like an absolute minter now though, here's some pics

I changed the oil on the Clio and took my k&n off now winter has passed and put my airbox back on. Then she had a wash and polish with Zymol and I touched up a couple of stonechips. Proud to own her at the moment though, she's looking well shiny

Are you planning on lowering the megane? It looks to be sitting pretty high on those new wheels. Great job on the sprucing up though, looks very tidy

Once it's decked it'll be fine. They've got 45 profile tyres on at the moment, and I'm not paying out £300+ on a set of 50 profile tyres, just for cosmetics!

Just wait till it's lowered. -40mm and it'll look fine.

I think it looks mint, does'nt look like a car that he has only owned for a couple of weeks!

Most people don't touch/can't afford to touch there cars for ages after they have bought them, this will be lowered, with a cat back ss exhaust and a nice set of Brembo's in a couple of weeks, despite what has already been done

    We'll keep chipping away matey!

The black wheels suited the Clio a lot more - they would look better silver on that Megane.

Ther rims are staying black - and even if I got new one's they'd be powercoated before they went on!

It's kinda my "calling card" if you will. I've always had dark rims no matter what the car, and it's also becoming an increasingly popular choice. Hell, even manufacturers are taking note. The Evo 8 FQ400 comes with black rims, the latest Accord comes with gunmetals - Civic Type R's have gunmetal rims too...

As for them being too small - I say rubbish. The standard rims are 14" and these are 15". The only difference is the profile of the tyre. At the moment it's got 45 profile tyres on, and they are a bit on the small side with it not being lowered. What it needs is lowering first, then perhaps a set of 50 profiles on it. I think the biggest I'd ever put on it would be 16". Anything more than that and we're starting to look like a pram

Nice work guys. The wheels aren't too small, it just needs lowering. I'm not a fan of dark alloys full stop tbh but they are STILL an improvement on the stock wheels.

Point is the car is looking better - good stuff

Doll....Lowe....that IS shiny...major major polish and you two must have arms like Arnie now

I like those wheels and small rims have never really been a problem for me. Every Mk 2 Escort and 'Beam in rallying had tiny rims in huge arches.

    Both cars looks stunnning

must be proud. I would be...if knackered
