Thumbs down Death of world superbike?

Apparently world superbike is going too have a new rule next year, they are going too make them use a control tyre, pirreli i think.

Anyone else think this will be the death of world superbike, i hope not as i dont like motoGP, i prefer seeing bikes raced that are in some ways simliar to what we can ride on the road.

Can't see this rule being popular at all...i mean Pirelli FFS?. Leave things as they are, takes the inlet restrictions off the 1000cc 4 cylinders, and things will be great...

Well, it's been dead for a while.

IT's not so much the WSB as the DucattiSuperbBike competition. and with the Pirelli only make tyre choice, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Aprilia will all pull out factory teams -- which are much needed.

Makes me chuckle when the BSB boys beat them with 2 year older bikes.

I think you should give MotoGP a try. Yes, Hondas have dominated, but the Ducatti should be good for next year, and hopefully Gibernau and Biaggi will give Rossi and run for his money. The races I've managed to see [Grrrr: BBC] have been execellent to watch. Give it a try.

I dont hate MotoGP but it is a bit boring compared to BSB/WSB imo.

Making a daft ass rule like pirelli tyres only is bloody rediculous, i mean...who the hell uses pirelli tyres anyhoo?

I wouldnt even let my bike see one never mind have one

Well, so was I initially, and I thought the regulations governing the specs of the new bikes were a bit crap, but I can't deny it's led to some horny machinery (Desmosedici phwoar!) and great racing.

Can't beat a good 125 race for edge of your seat insanity, though.
