i think it'd work - 11 seconds are ignored for overtaking, everything else is notified.. i'd have one in my car if it made my insurance drop.

You only pay £200 insurance as it is... surely you dont expect it to be a hell of a lot cheaper than your already paying?Originally Posted by 5lab

BTW I think its a slippery route downhill. I mean one might always nudge over the speed limit, even those of us who are extra careful. So three times and bomp your car inurance is gone. Might as well go for the normal stuff like everyone.
Sod that for a laugh..

I don't think they mean u get busted for going 3 times over the limit for 12 seconds each. I think they will be quite lenient. Just don't expect to be able to do 40 in a 30 on a regular basis.

Of course it's good. We all know that privided you don't break the speed limit, you must be a safe driver.
I disagree TeePee, it makes you a lawbreaker, but doesn't mean you are not a safe driver. People can be doing less than the speed limit and be unsafe.
I'm guessing teepee was being sarcastic there...Of course it's good. We all know that privided you don't break the speed limit, you must be a safe driver.

Sitting in the outside lane of the motorway at 70 3" off the back of the car infront of you is perfectly safe because your not breaking the law due to speeding, what they should do is concentrate more or a system to find people that drive like idiots, ok so sometimes speeding is driving like an idiot, 30mph outside a school at kick out time is a bit daft IMHO, yeah I speed on open/empty roads but not near schools or in residential areas...
I'd loose my licence tho for doing 75+ down the m5 on my way to Plymouth tho...
those all might be the case, but if insurance companies are backing it then it must be fairly true (insurance comps are just in it for the cash).
i'm not surprised that, if, as a young driver you break the speed limit regulalry, you are MORE LIKELY to crash than a young driver who doesnt. its simple statistics - its not the driving fast that nesseserily does it, its the other things that fast drivers typically do. just like owning a sports car really - a better handling car with a bigger engine doesnt *make* you more likely to crash (theoretically, with better handling you are more likely to be able to avoid a crash) - statistics simply show that if you drive a sportier car you're more likely to drive liek a nobba

I agree with 5lab (apart from the loving Volvos...)
