    Question Question about wheels....

    HELP!

Im currently looking at a set of wheels on Ebay of which the auction finishes tonight... however I have just noticed that the PCT is right for my car (4x100) but the ET is 25. The recommended ET for my car is 32-37... so my question is:

    WILL THEY FIT??

Answers on the back of a postcard please.... ASAP!

    Thanks...

The smaller the ET the further the the wheel will sit from the hub. 25 is pretty small so you will probably have trouble clearing the arches and may have quite a bit of rubbing on full lock.

    It's PCD also

You KNOW you want the MR2 wheels.... They come up for grabs tonight as my Wolfraces are going on

You can even have a trial fitting if you like.

With most of us not having golf cabrios - there is no way to tell without asking someone who has actually tried.

The low offset means the wheels will sit further out in the arches. Some cars can handle putting lower offset wheels on, some cars cant and will rub the arches.

Better of asking on a vw / golf forum

Thanks... also posted the question on a dub forum, but I thought you guys knew EVERYTHING!!

Jiff - the Mister Two wheels are lovely but I just cant imagine them on my Golf, though they are velly nice indeed!! See how my bidding goes tonight (might need some tips) - but I might take you up on the offer of trying them to see how they look.

Had the mohair roof fitted today - looks SO much better than the old vinyl one... hopefully it will keep the rain out better too.

and keep cleaner too...dunno why...just easier to keep nice.

Honoop....be carefull with low offsets...not just cos of the arches. It sometimes RUINS the handling and puts mammoth stress on the wheel bearings, as the forces upon them are multiplied hugely for every tiny bit of offset gained.

Cheers Zakky... I have absolutely no idea about this stuff. Only know what ET PCD I need coz Ive been looking on Ebay for weeks now!!

Personally I really do not like those Ronal Turbo wheels... they tend to look good on Mk2's but I dont fancy having them on my girlie cabrio.

Been looking at BBS RAs etc but I dunno, just summit about them and probably the fact that alot of people put BBS on Golfs. Would love a set of BBS Split Rims but Im not that rich unfortunately!

Lost an auction for a set of Azev A's the other day (damn snipers) - the ones I currently have my eye on are these:

Very similar to ATS cups... but nicer imo
