Looks nice and the spec in the sig is good only thing I can pick fault with, its a 5 door, dunno what it is but 5 doors really don't ddo anything for me.
Steam: (Grey_Mata) || Hexus Trust
That looks well nice!
Heh thanks for the comments...btw awesome sig..that is so cool
As for 5-doors: I'm kinda liking it. Of course now with the DLS the boot really can't hold 'that much' but still has space for small bags, my camera stuff etc...so it doesn't get opened much and at the end of the day gets treated mostly as a 4-door...
Hope you don't drive about with the fog lights on?
Looks nice
Living and dying laughing and crying
Once you have seen it you will never be the same
Life in the fast lane is just how it seems
Hard and it is heavy dirty and mean
Tax Disc Holder & Double Cup Holder do it for me
How much do those go for nowadays? (used)
Where did you get Mk6 from? AFAIK they are only up to Mk5 now. (2 shapes in late 80s - early 90s, then around 1993 onwards was the Mk3, Mk3 facelift in around 2000, then the one you have, and then the newest one).
Of course I may be talking crap.

The Mk6 has been out for a while, it is currently the latest in the 9n(1) range. The next model also called the 'face lift polo' has been dubbed 9n3 as 9n2 is the saloon model...
The 9n3 is out later this year but parts such as the 9n3 tail lights are a direct fit with my mk6 polos and quite a few people have done this mod. Personally I'm not a great fan of the 9n3 tail lights so I'm sticking with the stock ones
Check out this mk6 forum for tons of info and pics : http://www.tigerstyle.co.uk/poloforum/viewforum.php?f=8
Marcos: I'd imagine one of these brand new would cost around £11K up or so...and you might be able to get a 1.6L engine or a GTi even...However with Sri Lankan prices I ended up paying around £20K for this...c'est la vie but it is the price if you want a decent car here...
Ohh btw, top of the range BMWs/Mercs easily cost £100,000 in Sri Lanka...it is quite crazy!

Top of the range mercs/bmws can easily cost £100,000 here too
Some nice mods on the car, have to ask whats the bit between your 2 subs?
Its a POWAH CAP!!!!111!!Originally Posted by BenW
Seriously though, nice car, and fair play if you dont want to touch the internals, but as soon as you do, get rid of it and get a new alternator, although to be fair, vws build quality is really slipping if a 500W amp is causing you problems.
Herulach, thanks for the comments - the power cap was installed mainly as a precaution and isn't because the alternator can not handle it. However on songs with a lot of bass you can see the voltage across the cap dropping from around 14.1 - 14.2v to around 12 - 13v...
The gain on the amp hasn't even been turned up yet as the system has under gone the break-in period (for the speakers) but I've not had time to take it in for the final tune up...will do sometime next week
It wasnt meant as a dig, it is a really nice set up, i just think caps are generally pretty useless, as evidenced by the fact that you still get voltage drop even with one in.Originally Posted by bsodmike
I personally think it needs bigger wheels, but i feel for you as far as bad roads go, i should bloody sue leeds council for wear + tear
Yea, bigger wheels would be nice hehe. I might go with a 16" setup sometime next year... I doubt I can even sell these alloys/tires as no one here would want them (I guess hrm...)
As for the voltage drop...I understood that the voltage drop means that the cap is supplying current to the amp, i.e. it needs more than what the alternator/battery can supply?!?
How much was it for that custom install if you dont mind me asking?
Without Struggle, there is NO Success
Actually the install was free of charge, as I purchased the equipment from the DLS agents here in Colombo. However they charged around Rs. 6000 (About £30) to get a carpenter to design the box to my specifications and I got about 3 chaps from the company to help me install the system in the vehicle.Originally Posted by niksta
All the equipment came to around $3000, ~£1600...
