    Pre-sactly

The tread depth must be within 2mm of each other between all tyres to prevent overheating of the transfer box. This is normally done by swapping back to front every 3000-6000 miles.

This is not uncommon and cars like the Sunny GTiR require the same....

Some good info there guys - thanks for all the help.

Seems like an under rated car by all accounts.

All a matter of badging TBH.... ALL Calibra Turbo's, Cavalier Turbos and Cavalier GSi's were made in the German plant and then imported to the UK..... All to do with the full independant rear suspension and therefore different floor pan etc....

VERY under-rated. I cant help but smile when the first 300BHP Calibra (using the "mass production" stuff) caused a few shocks at Crail.... Also cant help but shiver at the memory of being a passenger in this car when it first got modified to 310BHP as its owned by a good mate

These cars are capable.... Too capable at times in that they can make a poor driver appear pretty good as its VERY tolerant of being flung about i.e. the 4WD system used means it doesnt bite the owner back if they are "over-enthusiastic"

Dont know if I would have another one tho. Good cars but I like me current one too much.

Have a look at my old car here - www.cav-turbo.co.uk (me first and only crack at a website )

they did, for a bit, then they didnt. then they did again recently, then they didnt. dunno why - possably just the cost implications of rebranding 1000000000 vauxhaull dealerships etc...

also vaux doesnt really have a bad image among typical drivers - just more so among enthusiats. i recon some people buy car after car from them, but if they saw opel on the front they may mentally stop and consider another multinational car, rather than a british brand..
