hmm.. the TTQS is a 4-pot turbo, 1.8, not a V5

The appear to be 3 flavours of the 1.8T - 180 , 225 and 240 PS , the Sport having the latter of those , but a bucketload of torque to propell you from 0-62 in 5.9 secs which is quite rapid ( for a golf

)

was it a Coupe 2.3 20v? they're 5-cyl jobbies (not V5 though)

right, just got it; you saw the 20v engine cover... 20 valve = 5 per cylinder, not 5 cylinder, 4-valve head...

sorry but, as above, 5v = 5 valve... = 1.8 20v turbo, 132kw = 180BHP like mine!

No thankyou I ain't having a 180 (and btw NO WAY was the one I was in a 180, it was the 240 Quattro Sport).

hmm... the picture you posted was though - you driven a 180? you'll know they're not much slower than a 225 then... are you sure it was a TT quattro Sport (small q, remember)?
