Rally GB pics from Saturday (56k welcome)

Here are my pics from the first run of the Crychan stage. Pardon the blurriness, but the camera isn't fast enough for some shots. My friend had an slr with him, so there will be more pics from that. I forgot to take my camera into the Millenium stadium, so those pics are on the SLR as well.

Theres a couple short videos at the end.

Good pics, bit blury some of them though, but it's hard to avoid that unless you have a 50 foot long camera, with a very fast shutter speed.

Problem with my camera is that you focus at a certain distance - so when the cars come flying past you there is no time to refocus. And the shutter speed isn't the best either. Camera is over two years old (maybe even three). My friend had an slr with him, so I will post more pics from that when they are processed, we can compare his and mine

Ever tried a nicon one with the sports mode? Takes several pictures over a quick time period.

If you see the pics you will see several pictures over a quick time period Most digital cameras do that these days. My friends minolta slr can do shots quickly too.
However I might need to buy a half decent digital slr in about a year.

That was a 'are they any good' as opposed to 'you should try it'

I was thinking of one for animal photos (they don't hold still, EVER). Should think focus wouldn't be an issue there.

Some good pics there, get a good atmos in the crowd watching rally?

We haven't been among a big croud for long. We went exploring further down the stage, but it was cool Did get some cheers at the Millenium Stadium, especially when someone got it wrong
