    B*****d Post Office

Went to get 6 months tax for the Alfa today and the gits refused because my insurance certificate states my insurance starts on the 26th October.

I think this is blatently wrong; I've clearly payed for insurance, my V10 and V5/2 were all in order and I had 90 quid cash. Hard to see why the start date is so bloody important

Left it with the garage instead, they can sort it

heh u wanna try getting tax with a mota traders policy from the post office, they just look confused when I hand them the document, and it only sais our names in tiny writing about 3/4 way down page

Then they have to check the log book as thats in a personal name then check back with the cover note Then I have to kindly point out where our names are and that it's hardly a relevant point whatever their mentioning as they haven't seen one very often and that they obviously need to be re-trained have got it every time tho

If that was the case they would not have refused him ?

As trig said, its their job, and they have rules to abide by.

Aye it sucks, most large companies do nowadays, get used to it

Yeah - I've had a problem like this before; I just went to another post office and they didn't bat an eyelid...

My post office knows me well

I can even tax cars with certificates which are wrong.

They don't even look at our motor trader policy anymore
