I like the roadster, but it's a long way from being road legal in this country....

    volvo didnt make either

the roadster was made by a volvo employee in his spare time, it has a t6 in the boot and is rumoured to soon have a v8 (from the xc90) installed.

the other car was built by a company called IPD (volvo tuning company in the states) with sponsorship from volvo.

neither car is a concept, they are both simply promotional vehicals..

(haven't they been on here already?)

    The XC70 AT is lovely.

I really don't like the roadster though.

TBH, I quite like the new S40 - looks smart and exclusive - in a way that the BMWs and Audis etc could never do.

Some of the interior design details look classy but understated (particulary the 'floating in air' stereo panel):-

"If Bang & Olufsen made car interiors, they would look like this. It's the best-looking interior we've seen in a long time and functional to boot. The buttons for the sound system, sat nav and climate control look beautifully crafted - like you'd expect to see on an upmarket stereo - and housed on a slim centre console panel that's well within arm's reach. There's space behind it for storage. Volvo seats are exemplary - supportive, comfortable and up to the job of mega-mile distances. Plenty of adjustment for the driver to find a good driving position."

Got the v70, sooo comfortable. Not the fastest mind, but a massively powerful & high fidelity audio system in it makes motorway cruising so much nicer. Shame it was the 2.4 not the t5 oh well cant have it all....

    Software error I assume?

It's quite normaly for the aircon to disengage at prudent times like WOT, I guees the coders forgot to put the code into turn it back on again.
