Great entertainment. Was impressed by The Stig driving the diesel Astra around the TG test track. Just goes to show that raw BHP in a car is not as important as driving ability.
It was a hugely entertaining show.

Unfortunatly they had to buy a supercar and it had to be Italian, so I don't think a Norfolk sports car fits the bill.
Which is indeed a pity because they could have just about picked up an early automatic honda NSX for that money - which would have been not only faster, but better on fuel, and infinatly more reliable than the italian trash

The NSX is somewhat of a marvel, although to a pureist it *may* not be a supercar. Out of interest why would you say that its not a supercar? It was one of the fastest production cars in the world when it was released? It gave ferrari and lambourgini a solid boot up the behind, and they made better and mroe reliable supercars because of that.
Most people dont appreciate its legacy. A supercar that was as easy to drive (almost) and as reliable as a honda civic, yet was a ferrari beater.

Astra was probably a CTDi 150.
Although its an Astra, its a 150bhp diesel so no slouch.
