Been touring the Civic tuning sites looking for some info but not found what I'm after yet.

Need good supplier of uprated front discs. Best so far is Denso at £165 a pair which I can't stretch to this year. Suggestions?

what about using something like ITR or ATR discs ?

Its a common trick to use the discs from a car "the next size up" as they often fit (cross fingers ) with only minor fettling. ( ie 300zx brake son a 200sx or golf 16v brakes on a polo etc.

Uprated discs offer little more stopping power than standards in most cases. As Moby says, you're better off getting bigger brakes by nicking calipers off a higher spec model.

I did this with my Clio, taking the calipers off a R19 16v and using those. Went from 235mm solid discs to 259mm vented discs. Made quite a difference!

As for manufactuers, there's only one I'd ever use.. Brembo.

I suffer an anti-diy disease. Therefore complicated rearrangements of stopping power involving fluids, big drills and hammers are unlikely. I also don't have the wonga to replace the wheels which bigger discs may require.

Ah well any where I can get cheap standard discs then?!
